Lasting Resolution

It’s the first full week of January. How many resolutions have you made for the year? How many have you broken?

A friend pointed out the definition of resolution to me, according to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary. It says a resolution is “the act of finding an answer or solution to a conflict, problem, etc..”

So much for my thinking of a resolution as a guaranteed failed attempt at losing weight, exercising, stopping the consumption of soda, not yelling or less sarcasm.

Most people start resolutions with good intentions. They have a real desire for change, maybe even to find answers to their struggles. The majority of people, including myself, fail after a few weeks and go back to living the life they were living in December. Feeling like a failure and believing real change is not possible, many believe this is their way of life and should just accept it.

But what if I told you there was a chance for a real and permanent change in your life?

Do you want more control of your life? Would you be willing to give up all of the control in your life to gain permanent change?

God has promised you a changed life, but He has to have control. For every prayer of asking God to change your life, He has been there ready to change your life. The only problem, it has been on your terms.

If you are willing to change, on His terms, He is waiting for you.

A new Changing Lanes group for men with sexual struggles starts on February 1st at 8:00AM. If you are willing to give up failed control of change, stop making the resolution and come be a part of the group. God is ready to give you a new life this year.

Sign up for the yearlong group at Space is limited.
